2021
We opened on Monday 31 May 2021 for 103 visitors with pre-booked, timed tickets to allow for social distancing. Our plant sale was particularly popular, and we raised £1250 in total for charity.

2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we were unable to open our garden as planned on 25th May 2020, but we have made a virtual tour instead.

2019 opening
On Monday May 27th we had 183 visitors and raised over £1500 for charity.

2018 openings
We had a pop-up opening on Sunday April 8th for species tulips and other early spring bulbs. Despite the constant drizzle 27 hardy gardeners turned out.

Our main opening on Bank Holiday Monday May 28th couldn't have been more different. It was a beautiful sunny day and 220 people came along and helped us raise £1750 for charity.

2017 opening
On Bank Holiday Monday 29th May we had 186 visitors and raised over £1400 for charity, £1080 for the NGS and £336 for Rennie Grove Hospice Care in St Albans.

2016 openings
Despite blustery showers on Saturday August 20th, 41 visitors came to our wine and fairy lights open evening and we raised £341 for charity.

On Sunday May 22nd we had 135 visitors and raised over £1100 for charity.

2015 opening
We opened the garden on Sunday May 17th to raise money for the National Gardens Scheme and Grove House Hospice in St Albans.

We had an amazing 202 visitors and raised £996 for the NGS from entrance fees and plant sales, and £385 for Grove House from teas and cakes. This was our fifth opening for the NGS and our best one so far. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible. The money raised has gone to nursing and cancer charities.

It just goes to show that you don't need a huge garden to open to the public. If you think that you might like to open for the NGS, contact your local group and someone will come and see the garden. It is lovely to be part of a like-minded group of people, and the NGS organisers are on hand to give advice and assistance throughout.
